Hard To Compete With Slave Labor

The L.A. Daily News reports that the City of L.A. has awarded a $315,000 graffiti removal contract to a non-profit firm rather than the for-profit firm that has provided the service for the past 12 years.

Why?

The law allows non-profit firms to use “court-ordered community service workers.” The law does not afford the same option to for-profit firms.

Result?

Graffiti Prevention, Inc. of Arleta “could” out of business; six law-abiding people may lose their jobs.

Because it makes Yakima look like a war zone.   Because then the taggers are winning. When you remove it consistently the taggers will learn and it will stop.

When you get graffiti you must call the police to report it. Graffiti is a major crime that plagues the city, because it has gone unreported the city thinks graffiti has decreased and is no longer a problem.

  1. Yakima Police Department 575-6200 press 1 for English and press 6 to File a Police Report.  Make sure to save the  case number.
  2. Call Graffiti Gone to have the graffiti removed asap, 654-0332.  Let us know the location and your police case number.

See one tagger in your area that you notice too often and want to see them do time or clean up their destruction of yours or someone’s property in your community?  Post your response here with any information that you might have and why you are annoyed at the tagger.

Graffiti Gone may not be free but we don’t destroy police evidence that is used to prosecute the taggers.  Graffiti Gone takes a picture each and everytime we remove graffiti. These pictures are then put into our Graffiti Database and used to prosecute the offenders.

When taggers do forced community service they really aren’t very good at covering up their master pieces.  Case it point look at the west side of the Bi-mart. If you don’t want shadowing, if you want the graffiti gone call Graffiti Gone!

Have you seen the patch work quilt all over Yakima?  Graffiti Gone color matches paint at the location for an exact match, no squares.
